OUR STORY
Pete Johnson
Pete grew up in Nelson County, Virginia in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. He joined the Navy after high school and was stationed at Norfolk Naval Base in early 1980’s. The Navy brought Pete to the Hampton Roads area and he has called it home ever since.
He brings over 25 years of construction knowledge to The Remodeling Company team. In his first 10 years in the construction field, Pete worked on large” fast track” commercial projects such as many of the Wal-Marts and Hotels scattered throughout the Hampton Roads area.
Pete opened Center Line Builders, Inc. in 1992. Center Line Builders grew to be a successful business focusing on residential remodeling in Hampton, Newport News and York County areas.
In May of 2006, Center Line Builders merged with The Roofing Company to form The Remodeling Company. Pete’s management skills that have been developed from a diver’s construction background are a great asset to our team and to your remodeling project.
Pete is an avid outdoorsman. His favorite pastime is returning to the mountains of his youth to relax and enjoy all that God has created.
Jesse Wyatt
Jesse grew up on the peninsula and graduated from Hampton High School in 1966. After high school, Jesse played semi- pro baseball. His love for the game led him to coaching baseball for the next 20 years.
Jesse Wyatt is a career salesman/designer with the Remodeling Co. He has over 35 years experience in the construction industry. He is a Certified Remodeler, specializing in all phases of home improvements. Also; he has a design certification for
"Aging In Place".
Jesse biggest joy is exceeding customer expectations. Developing relationships with his customers during construction is his primary goal.
Jesse lives in Newport News today with his wife. He enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and volunteering at church. Traveling and golfing are his favorite past times.
Ron Buhl
Ron has served Hampton Roads in the remodeling industry for 34 years. He grew up in a military family and came to this area immediately after graduating high school in Niceville, Florida when his father was transferred to Langley AFB.
After high school he completed a four year union carpentry apprenticeship in Newport News along with architectural and design courses at Thomas Nelson and ODU.
Ron has always had a strong interest in building and design and as his career in remodeling evolved he became more focused on the design aspect of residential construction.
Over the years Ron has completed numerous remodeling related seminars/training courses and continue to attend educational training courses and product information seminars in order to remain current with the newest products and standards.

2005 Showcase Merit Award for kitchen design from The National association of Home Builders and the Peninsula Remodeler's Council
2005 National Award for Whole House Renovation from Remodeling Magazine. (The remodeling industry's leading publication). Ron is particularly proud of this award as it was a national award with hundreds of entries.
2006 Showcase Grand Award for Residential Interior design from The National association of Home Builders and the Peninsula Remodeler's Council
2008 Showcase Grand Award for Residential Exterior addition from The National association of Home Builders and the Peninsula Remodeler's Council
In 34 years of remodeling service to the Hampton roads area Ron has had the opportunity to meet and work with thousands of wonderful people and help them make their homes function better for their families and provide a better lifestyle. He finds, in the end, has proven to be the most rewarding aspect of his work.
Gardner Snead
Gardner has worked in the building /construction industry for 40 years. 10 years as a field worker and supervisor and 30 years in sales, management, and design consulatant.
He has a B.S. degree from Christopher Newport College and has held a VA class A contractors license.
He regularly attends training and seminars on the latest technology, fashions, product and re-certifications for the remodeling industry.
He has been involved in three award winning residential remodeling projects as the project designer.
Gardner is married and resides in the area (Newport News). He and his wife Bonnie are currently involved in a compete remodeling of their own home in the North End Huntington Heights area. They have finished the 2nd floor except for the new heart pine flooring and will be starting the downstairs this spring. They are updating the mechanical system but keeping the décor, trim and stlye of the 1930 era in which it was built.
When he is not working he enjoys spending time with his new granddaughter and playing golf.
