New Master Bath in Va Beach

Remodeling Your Master Bath to Meet Your Needs and Adding Some Luxury, Too

Shadow

The homeowner of this Virginia Beach townhouse decided to do a complete master bathroom remodel, not only to accommodate her own needs, but also to give it a visual facelift.

Once all of Ms. Patterson’s tile, granite, and fixture selections were made with our Selections Coordinator, the crew began demolition.  Everything was completely removed down to wall studs and sub flooring.  The size of the shower was increased by removing and rebuilding the left-hand side wall.

The shower walls were done in a twelve by twelve inch tile to give the shower an even larger appearance.  Small deco tiles were placed in a diamond pattern just above eye level to give it “that something extra”.  (Tip: Deco tiles are a great way to add pizzazz and personalization to an otherwise basic tile without blowing your budget.)

Bigger tiles mean less grout lines.  This, combined with a handheld shower wand on a slide bar, makes the shower a less cumbersome place to clean.

A corner seat was built into the shower with granite top to match that of the vanity (both cut from a remnant piece of granite!).  The vanity’s cherry shade was selected to coordinate with the new laminate wood floor in the adjoining master bedroom.

All of the plumbing fixtures and accessories were selected in a polished brass finish, which give a very luxurious touch.
