My husband and I are seniors and we realized we needed to remodel our shower after my husband slipped and nearly falling in the tub. We contacted Jesse Wyatt, whom we had worked with several years ago when we decided to change the siding on our house from blue to white. We knew he was reliable and would tell us if something could be done in our bathroom.

Jesse came in and designed our shower to include a seat and grab bars. He would always call us back in a timely manner when we had questions, kept the job moving and everything was done when he told us it would be. My parents’ home in Gloucester was damaged by heavy smoke and some fire damage from a lightning strike in early June 2010. We chose The Remodeling Company to do the work of getting mom and dad, who are both 85, back into their home. Pete managed the project from beginning to end — he was everything we needed him to be — a great guy and excellent communicator — which is why I sent this email to Pete a week after the lightning strike: “Thanks so much for your wonderful ability in helping my parents through their misery last Wednesday. Your empathy and caring were greatly appreciated by both me and my parents.” Upon closure of the project five and half months later I wrote this to Pete: “Thanks for your excellent communication throughout the project and a fantastic job every step of the way. It’s the darn truth and nothing but!”

It was a large job with many decisions to be made by mom and dad — a new roof, new drywall throughout the house, new wiring, etc. The job foreman, Kenny, was fantastic — maybe because mom fed him a lot of brownies throughout the job! I live in Norfolk and handled a lot of the decision-making for mom and dad. Kenny kept me informed through the entire construction process.

I don’t have brothers, but Pete and Kenny are what I would expect great brothers to be like. They treated us like family. AAA+++ rating from my entire family — thank you!!!

My wife and I have needed additional storage space for years. When the time was right we sought out contractors to build a 1,100 square foot detached garage on our property in Hampton, VA. Soon we found The Remodeling Company, as well as, other contractors. After receiving bids we selected The Remodeling Company due to price and professional interaction during contract discussions – it only got better from there.

Once construction started I was amazed at how much progress was done each day. In 13 business days the construction was completed. Some may think it must have been thrown together, but I can assure you it was not. Having experience in construction myself the work was top-notch. Additionally, when interacting with The Remodeling Company employees the were always professional, polite, and punctual. We are truely impressed. In fact, it’s only been on day and we have already south The Remodeling Company as our sole source contractor for future bathroom upgrades we are planning.

I have absolutely no reservations about recommending The Remodeling Company to friends and acquaintances. Karen and I are very satisfied with the framing construction The Remodeling Company did for our detached garage project. The workers were friendly, polite and professional during our interactions. The work performed surpassed expectations too – fast, precise, and well done. The work site was cleaned fairly well at completion.
